ADHD Assessment
An ADHD Assessment is an evidence based method of assessing whether a child’s difficulties with attention, memory and impulsivity/hyperactivity are severe enough to provide a diagnosis for ADHD. This involves investigating whether the difficulties are happening at home and at school.
An initial consultation with the parents to gather historical information about your child, their difficulties, their environment and their development.
The assessment process (package):
Parents completes a set of comprehensive questionnaires which examine the common symptoms of ADHD.
A teacher completes a set of comprehensive questionnaires asking about the common symptoms of ADHD.
2 x 1 hour semi-structured interview with parents.
90 minutes session dedicated to a Cognitive Assessment.
A comprehensive assessment report which details the findings.
Customised set of recommendations to support your child in the home and school contexts.
A feedback session to discuss the assessment findings, answer questions, and provide psychoeducation.
